John Surrick

John Surrick has extensive work experience in media relations and journalism. John started their career as an assignment editor/field producer at WBAL-TV in 1979 and worked there until 1991. Following that, they joined the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as a Media Relations Manager in 1992, a position they held until 2003. Since 2003, John has served as the Director of Media Relations at The Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

John Surrick attended Hampshire College from 1971 to 1975, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and Education.
