Neil Borg-Olivier

Assistant Principal, Curriculum at Cheshire College

Neil has worked in Further Education since Graduating from University. First appointed as a Lecturer at West Cheshire College in 2008, he has since held a range of other positions including Programme Leader, Assistant Manager, Head of School and Director of Faculty.

Neil’s educational background is in the humanities, with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the field of English Literature and Cultural History and professional experience in editorial roles within the early-career research field. He has also worked professionally in the Performing Arts as a Musician.

As a leader within the college Neil has delivered growth of opportunity for students in all pathways of learning, including Apprenticeships and Higher Education. Under his leadership, his faculty has secured employer partnerships for the College that continue to have a positive impact on students’ employability prospects. These partnerships give students opportunities for high-quality work placements as well as contacts within the industries they go on to be employed in.

Neil cares passionately about Further Education and believes that, delivered and managed well, it is the strongest force for positive social change and improving lives.
