Andrew Thurston

Andrew Thurston is an experienced professional in safety, security, and emergency management, currently serving as the Assistant Manager of Safety and Security at Chester County Intermediate Unit since December 2022. Prior roles include Emergency Management Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Lead Emergency Planning Coordinator at Chester County Department of Emergency Services. Andrew has also worked as a Senior Environmental Consultant/Regulatory Manager at Hearts Pest Management, Inc., and held positions at Triumvirate Environmental and Waterloo Gardens. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy & Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Science from Thiel College, supplemented by training from the FEMA Emergency Management Institute.
