Josina Carvalho

Josina Carvalho is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Lead Counsel at Chevron since January 2023. Prior to this role, Josina held various positions at Angola LNG as Legal Manager from December 2019 to December 2022, and at Chevron from February 2014 to November 2019 as Senior Counsel and Legal Counsel. Josina's expertise includes significant negotiations on international projects, such as the CRX Pipeline Convention and the Lianzi Unitization Project, as well as managing claims and litigation for Chevron's Southern Africa Business Unit. Earlier in career, Josina worked as a Trainee Attorney at Miranda, Correia, Amendoeira & Associados, focusing on oil and mining law. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, post-graduate degrees in Company Law from Universidade de Coimbra, and Oil & Gas Law from Universidade Agostinho Neto, complemented by further studies at The Wharton School.
