Kenny Smith

Kenny Smith is a highly experienced drilling professional with a background in deepwater exploration and well site leadership. Currently serving as a Drill Site Representative at Chevron, Kenny is involved in planning for an upcoming deepwater exploration project in Namibia. Previous roles include Senior Wellsite Leader at EXCEED Energy, focusing on deepwater exploration wells offshore Namibia, and multiple positions at CNOOC International, where responsibilities included rig intake and drilling oversight for projects in Newfoundland, Suriname, and offshore Israel. Kenny's experience spans various companies, including Tullow Oil and Zenith Energy Ltd, and includes advanced roles such as Senior Deepwater Drilling Supervisor and Senior Drilling Engineer, showcasing a strong capability in high-pressure, high-temperature conditions. Kenny holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Systems with honors from Robert Gordon University.
