Sudipta Sarkar

Sudipta Sarkar is an experienced subsurface manager at Chevron, overseeing operations within the China Business Unit since August 2008. With a strong background in completion optimization, field operations, project management, and technology leadership, Sudipta has successfully enhanced production and reduced costs in shale assets. Prior to this role, Sudipta held various positions at Chevron, including Strategy Advisor and Manager of the Production Enhancement Technology Team. Earlier experience includes internships at ExxonMobil, a wireline field engineering position at Schlumberger, and a summer internship at Perenco. Sudipta holds a PhD in Geophysics and Seismology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a BS in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from Middle East Technical University, and recently completed a certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University.
