Angela Padilla

Angela Padilla is a highly experienced Senior Research Chemist at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, specializing in polyethylene research and technology since August 2023. Previously, Angela worked at Univation Technologies, LLC, and Dow Chemical from October 2015 to August 2023 as a Research Scientist and Associate Scientist, focusing on the design and synthesis of novel ligands and catalysts, as well as the scale-up of syntheses for pilot plant campaigns. Prior roles at The Dow Chemical Company included Associate Scientist positions in oil and gas, epoxy products R&D, and a senior chemist role in a research assignment program, leading innovative projects across various business sectors. Angela began a career in medicinal chemistry at Schering-Plough as an Assistant Scientist, developing synthetic routes for antiviral compounds. Angela holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Florida International University, and an Associate of Arts from Miami Dade College.
