Jason Kruger

Jason Kruger, MD, MHCM has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Jason most recently served as the VP and Chief Medical Officer for CHI Health St. Elizabeth and CHI Health Nebraska Heart. Jason also held the position of Member of the Board of Directors for CHI Health from 2018 to 2022. Previously, they worked as the Medical Director for the Emergency Medicine Service Line at CHI Health. Dr. Kruger has also served as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Chief of Staff at CHI Health St. Elizabeth. Jason has held the role of Medical Director for the Lincoln Chapter at CHI Health Partners and the EMS Oversight Authority. Dr. Kruger began their career as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Great River Medical Center and Keokuk Area Hospital.

Jason Kruger, MD, MHCM received their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Iowa in 1999. Jason went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in 2003. From 2003 to 2006, they completed their Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of South Carolina. In 2017, they pursued a Master's degree in Health Care Management at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, which they completed in 2019. Jason Kruger has also obtained several certifications in their field, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Physician Executive (CPE), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), and Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
