Prabhat Singh has a diverse range of work experience. Prabhat began their career as an Elite Analyst for Project Firefly, where they contributed extensively to their blog and competitions and won multiple Monthly Current Affairs Competitions. Prabhat then worked as a Data Journalist for HT MINT, specializing in data-driven articles on policy issues.

In 2016, Prabhat became an Expert Consultant for the Government of Andhra Pradesh, working in the Financial and Economics Analysis Division. Prabhat was selected for this role through a competitive process that included applicants from prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Oxford.

From 2015 to 2018, Prabhat worked as a Freelance Journalist, publishing nearly 30 articles for leading Indian outlets such as The Hindu and Outlook Magazine. Prabhat was also interviewed by India Today and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

In 2019, Prabhat became a Mayoral Fellow for the City of Chicago, where they were part of the policy team for two urban transportation projects.

Most recently, Prabhat joined the Chicago Police Department in 2020 as a Principal Data Scientist. In this role, they lead cross-functional teams in analyzing big data sets and delivering impactful outcomes in the criminal justice domain. Prabhat has been recognized for their work on a comprehensive tracking mechanism for officer misconduct.

Prabhat Singh completed a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Later, they pursued a Graduate program in Public Policy and Data Analytics at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago from 2018 to 2020.
