Monica Hurtado

Monica Hurtado, M.Ed., serves as the Assistant Director of Stewardship at the University of Illinois Chicago since February 2024 and is a College Counselor with Chicago Scholars, guiding high school seniors in college applications and scholarship opportunities. Hurtado has extensive experience in education, including roles as a Substitute Teacher in Chicago Public Schools and various positions at DePaul University, where responsibilities ranged from administrative support to managing scholarship programs. Previous experience includes managing the Career and Transfer Center at St. Augustine College and roles in customer service and youth career readiness programs. Hurtado holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from DePaul University and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago.
