Lynne Allen

Director, Facilities And Engineering at Chicago Tribune

Lynne Allen has over 25 years of experience in facility management and operations. Lynne currently works as the Operations Manager Americas at Kroll, a position they have held since February 2019. Prior to that, they worked at the Chicago Tribune Media Group as the Director of Facilities and Engineering starting in July 2013. In this role, they led the corporate headquarters build out and relocation, and was responsible for program development, construction project management, and managing the security team.

Before joining the Chicago Tribune Media Group, Lynne worked at the Archdiocese of Chicago as a Facilities Manager from September 2004 to June 2013. Lynne directed the relocation into two headquarters sites and developed new facility standards, policies, and programs. Their responsibilities included managing work orders, the security team, stationary engineers, and vendors.

Earlier in their career, Lynne served as a Facility Manager at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation from September 2000 to June 2004. Lynne also gained experience as a Facility Manager at Motorola from 1994 to 1997, where they developed corporate workstation standards for engineers and managed facility office area build outs.

Lynne Allen has a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, specializing in Architecture. Lynne also holds an MFA and MA degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition, Lynne Allen is a registered Architect and has obtained this certification from the State of Illinois.
