Dave Hammers

Dave Hammers has held various roles in the software engineering and management field since 1979. Dave'swork experience includes Vice President at Datavision (1979), President at DAV Systems (1989), Architect/Lead Engineer at Loral Data Systems (1993), Architect/Lead Engineer at IPC Information Systems (1995), Manager Systems Group at Superior Electronics (1997), MTS/SW Architect at Paradyne (1997), Senior Software Engineer/Manager and Senior Software Engineer/Architect at Extreme Networks (2006), Senior Software Engineer/Manager and Senior Software Engineer/Director at MediaMath (2020), and Sr Software Engineer at Chicory (2021). At Extreme Networks, Dave's team developed Docker container applications to be portable from an embedded environment through cloud applications, and their team also developed Python \"on switch orchestration\" applications. At MediaMath, Dave served as part of the creatives team and pioneered the transition to Golang (Go) applications for AWS ECS/Lambda deployments. Dave also created Go (Golang) REST API/Openapi/Swagger as a reusable common interface contract across microservices and integrated with Google Cloud.

Dave Hammers is currently enrolled in the Computer Science program at the Detroit Institute of Technology. Dave also holds two certifications from Udemy, the Git & GitHub - The Practical Guide obtained in September 2021 and the Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD) with Tests obtained in August 2021.
