Magnus Johansson

Magnus Johansson has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Magnus is currently the Co-Founder and Co-Game Director at Chief Rebel since January 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Arrowhead Game Studios from 2014 to 2019, where they held the role of Co-Game Director and was responsible for the level designing of the remake of the classic arcade game Gauntlet. Before that, they were the Lead Level Designer at Avalanche Studios from 2008 to 2013, where they supervised the development of key and side missions for Just Cause 2, led a small group of Level Designers on Renegade Ops, and worked as a Senior Level Designer on Mad Max. Magnus started their career at Idol FX in 2001 as a 3D Artist, where they worked as an environment artist and level designer/scripter on games like Gast, Grumpa, and Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi.

Magnus Johansson's education history includes three notable experiences. Magnus attended NTI Skolan from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued a degree in Multimedial Berättarteknik (Multimedia) for two years. Prior to that, from 1998 to 1999, they studied Multimedia Production at Musikhögskolan i Piteå. Magnus'smost recent educational endeavor was with Crisp and www.ScrumAlliance.org in 2008. Magnus obtained a Certification in Scrum Master (Agile development) from the program.
