Raul Ovejero Saiz

Raul Ovejero Saiz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Raul started their career at Pyro Studios as a Senior 3D artist and Concept artist from February 2001 to July 2004. Raul then moved on to Eurocom Entertainment Software, where they worked as a Senior Environment and Lighting Artist from August 2004 to August 2006. After that, Raul joined Bizarre Creations as a Senior Artist and Concept Artist from August 2006 to September 2009, and then as a Lead 3D artist from September 2009 to February 2011.

Raul then worked at Rockstar North as an Environment Artist from March 2011 to October 2015, later transitioning to the role of Environment Terrain Artist from November 2015 to November 2016, and finally returning to the role of Environment Artist from November 2016 to March 2017. Raul then joined Rare Ltd as an Art Director from April 2017 to July 2017.

Continuing their career, they worked at Starbreeze Studios as a Lead Artist for the game CrossFire from September 2017 to July 2018. After that, they joined Ubisoft Stockholm, first as a Lead 3D Artist & UI manager, Co-Dev Artist for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora from August 2018 to February 2019. Raul then took on the role of Associate Art Director (Production Design Supervisor) from February 2019 to June 2020, and finally served as an Acting Art Director from June 2020 to April 2021.

In April 2021, Raul became an Associate Art Director at Remedy Entertainment Plc, but their tenure lasted for just a few months until July 2021. Following that, they held the position of Art Director at Avalanche Studios Group from July 2021 to February 2023. Currently, they are working as an Art Director at Chief Rebel, a position they have held since March 2023.

Throughout their career, Raul has showcased their expertise in art direction, team management, and development. Raul has supervised production workflows and pipelines for various art disciplines, worked closely with design, animation, sound, and narrative teams, and pitched artistic vision to stakeholders. Additionally, they have demonstrated skills in world-building and creating visually appealing and immersive game universes.

Raul Ovejero Saiz completed their undergraduate degree in architecture engineering from the Universidad Politénica de Madrid, studying from 1996 to 2004.
