Roger Keaton

Roger Keaton has a diverse work experience that spans over different industries and roles. Roger is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer at the Child Saving Institute since February 2019. Prior to that, they held the same position at Yellowstone Forever from October 2016 to February 2019. Before that, they served as the Director of Finance at Yellowstone Park Foundation from March 2016 to October 2016, and as the Director of Finance And Administration at Yellowstone Forever - Yellowstone Association from September 2013 to October 2016.

Roger also has experience outside the conservation sector. Roger worked as the Associate Treasurer at the Northern California Conference of SDA from October 2011 to September 2013. Prior to that, they served as the Assistant Director of Internal Audit at ADRA from July 2010 to October 2011.

Roger's career began in the auditing field, as a Senior Staff Auditor at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists from June 2005 to July 2010. Roger started as an English Teacher at the Moscow English Language School from July 2004 to June 2005, before working as an Events Staff Associate for the Johanns for Governor campaign from June 2002 to December 2002. Lastly, they served as a Legislative Intern at Senator Chuck Hagel's office from January 2002 to June 2002, where they assisted in research and drafting proposals.

Roger Keaton has a strong educational background starting with their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Business and Finance from Union College (NE) which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Roger then pursued a Master's degree in Financial Services with a specialization in Finance/Accounting from Southern Adventist University, graduating in 2005. To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Roger completed a Non-Profit Executive Management Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School between 2018 and 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Roger has obtained several certifications to bolster their professional credentials. Roger became a Certified Public Accountant through the District of Columbia Board of Accountancy in June 2010. Roger also holds the Certified Fraud Examiner certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, which they obtained in May 2011. Lastly, they received the General Conference of SDA Trust Certification from the General Conference of SDA in June 2010.
