Brandon Stratford

Research Scientist, Youth Development at Child Trends

Brandon Stratford is an experienced professional in youth development and clinical social work, currently serving as a Research Scientist at Child Trends since August 2013. Additionally, Brandon has maintained a role as a Clinical Social Worker at Creative Ways Therapy since June 2008. Previous positions include Consultant for Clinical Supervision at CentroNia and an Education Policy Intern at Advocates for Children and Youth. Brandon has also contributed to the National Academy of Sciences as a Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Fellow and worked as a School-based Clinical Social Worker for the DC Government. Earlier experience includes roles as a Mental Health Specialist and Youth and Family Counselor, as well as consulting for the United States Peace Corps. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University, an MSW in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore, and a BA in Elementary Education from Linfield University.
