Brenda Daya is an experienced professional in international development and legal practice, currently serving as a Programme Manager at ChildFund New Zealand since November 2022. Prior to this role, Brenda worked as a Consultant for UN Women Asia-Pacific, focusing on a regional women's economic empowerment programme. Brenda’s legal background includes positions as Contracts Manager at WorleyParsons Canada and Solicitor at Hesketh Henry, where responsibilities encompassed relationship property issues, estate planning, and drafting legal documents. Brenda also contributed to academia as a Volunteer Lecturer at MVU University in Cambodia, where responsibilities included lecturing large classes and forming a women’s rights group. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Development and multiple degrees in law and history from The University of Auckland.
