Jessie Robinson

Director of Development at CHILDREN AND ADULT DISABILITY AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Jessie Robinson is currently the Director of Development at CADES, a position they have held for 4 years and 6 months. Jessie is responsible for overseeing friend and fundraising efforts to support CADES programs and its activities. This includes grant writing, special event planning, and fundraising. Jessie also develops new development initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization and cultivates meaningful relationships.

Prior to their current role, Jessie was the Executive Assistant/Administrative Coordinator at Penn Hillel, where they were responsible for providing operational and administrative oversight for 1,800 students and the executive director. This included prospecting and cold calling national donor list and setting up appointments for Rabbi to solicit funding. Jessie also served as the point of contact for members, organized promotional membership initiatives, and took charge of administrative duties. Additionally, they coordinated every aspect of office support, student liasons and tracking and reporting to promote Jewish life on Penn’s campus and after graduation.

Before their time at Penn Hillel, Jessie was the Executive Director at Congregation Ohev Shalom, where they were internally recruited and charged with providing operational support for the 300-member congregation. Jessie oversaw facilities, personnel supervision and overall management of the synagogue. Jessie also led program management, fund-raising coordination, relationship cultivation, membership recruitment and retention. Additionally, they conducted competitive research, prospected and cold called to raise funds for congregation and served as public relations representative promoting positive brand image.

Jessie began their career as a Corporate Event Specialist at McKee Nelson before becoming a Senior Sales Manager at Federal City Caterers 3 years and 8 months later.

Jessie Robinson attended The George Washington University from 1998 to 2002, earning a BA in Communication. While at GWU, they were active in the Women's Crew and Youth Tutoring Service. Her field of study was Communication, General.
