Caroline Roberts serves as General Counsel and Senior Director of Public Policy at CHILDREN AT RISK since October 2017, having previously held roles as Senior Staff Attorney, Associate Director of Policy & Staff Attorney, and Staff Attorney within the organization. Caroline's legal education includes a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law, completed in 2017, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Duke University, earned in 2011. Prior to legal practice, Caroline gained international experience as an English teacher at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Foreign Expert with EF English First. Additionally, research assistant positions were held in various labs at Duke University between 2011 and 2012.

Our Mission: CHILDREN AT RISK serves as a catalyst for change to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy. How We Are Different: CHILDREN AT RISK is the only nonprofit organization that is focused solely on the well-being of the whole child, tracks those indicators through its publication Growing Up in Houston, and proactively drives change for children by educating legislators on the importance of improving each of the key indicators. What We Do: Through its research and advocacy programs, CHILDREN AT RISK is a well-known leader in understanding the health, safety and economic indicators impacting children, and educating public policy makers in their importance in improving the lives of children.
