Ann-Kristin Altekoester

Ann-Kristin Altekoester, PhD, is a Senior Clinical Curation Scientist at the Children's Cancer Institute since March 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Scientist and PhD student at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute from May 2019 to March 2019 and January 2015 to March 2019, respectively, where research focused on heart development and disease. Additionally, Ann-Kristin has engaged in various research roles, including student research assistant positions at Universität zu Köln, and work experience at the University of Auckland and University of Muenster. Ann-Kristin holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics from the University of Cologne, completed in 2019, and a Master of Biological Sciences from the same institution, earned in 2013.
