Gail L Ostrander has extensive work experience in healthcare leadership roles. Gail L Ostrander currently serves as the Vice President Connected for Kids at Children's Wisconsin, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the Vice President Northeast Region at Children's Wisconsin starting from January 2018.

From 2012 to 2017, Gail worked as the Chief Performance Improvement Officer at Hospital Sisters Health System, where they provided executive leadership in areas of patient safety, quality, infection prevention, regulatory, and Lean for St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay.

Before that, Gail held the position of Executive Director Women's Services at Columbia St. Mary's from July 2006 to 2011. In this role, they were responsible for operations, financial performance, strategy deployment, safety, quality, patient experience, and new program development. Gail L Ostrander successfully secured funding for a $2.9 million capital building project to create the region's first all private room family-centered NICU.

Prior to that, Gail served as the Director of Accreditation and Performance Improvement at Columbia St. Mary's from 2004 to 2006. Gail L Ostrander was instrumental in implementing the Accreditation Manager software and achieved full accreditation for the organization. Additionally, they pioneered a continuous readiness strategy through coaching a cross-functional team.

From 2002 to 2004, Gail held the role of Cardiovascular Service Line Clinical Director at Ministry Health Care. Gail L Ostrander improved operational efficiency and grew market share at a tertiary site, as well as oversaw the start-up of clinical operations for two new cardiac catheterization labs.

Gail's professional experience also includes serving as the Clinical Director of Decision Support Services at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare from 1999 to 2002.

Throughout their career, Gail has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational improvement skills in the healthcare industry.

Gail L Ostrander RN MS MBA FACHE has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an Executive Curriculum from the Lubar College of Business, which was obtained between 2000 and 2002. Gail L Ostrander also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Nursing from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing from the Oregon Institute of Technology. In addition to their degrees, Gail has obtained certifications as a Certified Wellness Coach from Wellcoaches in September 2018 and in Just Culture from Outcomes Ingenuity.
