Marlyn Miramontes, ASW, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of social work. They began their career as an MSW Intern at Para Los Niños in 2016, where they conducted individual, group, and dyad therapy sessions. They also diagnosed clients using the DSM V and performed assessments utilizing a biopsychosocial approach. Additionally, they conducted risk assessments for clients who expressed suicidal ideation.

In 2017, Marlyn Miramontes continued their MSW Internship at Pasadena Council On Alcoholism, where they conducted individual, group, and dyad therapy sessions, and performed assessments using a biopsychosocial approach. They also conducted intakes for both the mental health and substance use program.

In 2018, Marlyn Miramontes joined Para Los Niños again as an MSW Intern, where they continued to conduct therapy sessions, diagnose clients using the DSM V, and perform assessments using a biopsychosocial approach. They also conducted risk assessments for clients with suicidal ideation.

Most recently, Marlyn Miramontes has been working at Children's Institute as a Mental Health Therapist in the Full Service Partnership program since 2019.

Marlyn Miramontes, ASW, pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Social Work from 2013 to 2017 at California State University, Los Angeles. Marlyn then continued their education at California State University-Dominguez Hills, where they obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from 2017 to 2019. Their field of study throughout their education was Mental and Social Health Services and Allied Professions.
