Karl Reyes

Karl Reyes currently serves as an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and as a Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Children's Health since February 2023. Prior to this, Karl held roles as Co-Director of the Patel Heart Institute and Chief of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, as well as Associate Professor at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from April 2020 to March 2023. Karl's earlier experience includes an Associate Professor position at Baylor College of Medicine and a similar role at the University of Florida. As a founding member of Operation Heart Foundation Inc., Karl worked to provide financial assistance for patients with Congenital Heart Disease in the Philippines from 2011 to 2016. Karl's clinical training includes fellowships in Congenital Cardiovascular Surgery at Harvard Medical School and Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Cleveland Clinic, complemented by surgical residency and a medical degree from recognized institutions in the Philippines.
