Kate Giles is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in molecular biology and cancer research. Currently serving as a Senior Research Officer at the Children's Medical Research Institute since March 2019, Kate also holds positions as an Affiliate Researcher at the University of Sydney and an Adjunct Researcher at the University of Tasmania. Previously, Kate contributed to the Garvan Institute of Medical Research as a Visiting Scientist and PhD Candidate, alongside experiences at the University of Western Sydney as a Laboratory Class Demonstrator and in various research roles, including Undergraduate Research Opportunities in epigenetics. Kate completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Epigenetics at UNSW and holds multiple degrees in biological sciences and psychology from Western Sydney University and the University of Wollongong.
