Medical Director, Opioid Stewardship Program at Children's Mercy Kansas City

Jason Fraser, MD, FACS, FAAP has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Jason is currently a Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they previously held the positions of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. At Children's Mercy Kansas City, Dr. Fraser serves as the Medical Director of the Opioid Stewardship Program and as the Program Director for the Pediatric Surgery Fellowship. Jason also holds roles as the Director of General Surgery Residents and Director of Bariatric Surgery at the same institution. Dr. Fraser has served as a Pediatric Surgeon at both Children's Mercy Kansas City and Pediatric Surgeons Of Phoenix. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Kansas Health Science Center and as an Assistant Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine. Early in their career, Dr. Fraser gained valuable experience as a General Surgery Resident at Mayo Clinic and as a Surgical Scholar at Children's Mercy Hospital.

Jason Fraser, MD, FACS, FAAP completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Saint John's University from 1998 to 2002. Jason then continued their studies at Creighton University School of Medicine from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. In addition to their educational background, they have been certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
