Gerardo Garcia has extensive experience in the field of emergency medical services (EMS). Gerardo began their career in 2001 as an EMT-Basic at Childress Regional Medical Center and later transitioned to the role of Paramedic. In this role, they provided pre-hospital advanced life support care and maintained positive relationships with colleagues and medical professionals. Gerardo also served as the PARAMEDIC/EMS Director, overseeing all aspects of EMS operations and emergency medical treatment protocol development. Additionally, Gerardo worked as an EMS Educator at EMS Education, where they participated in course planning and delivery, evaluated learner performance, and provided feedback. Gerardo also gained experience as a Flight Paramedic at Apollo MedFlight, providing high-quality inter-facility advanced life support and ensuring patient safety during transport. Furthermore, they worked as a Paramedic at Hall County EMS and as a Peer Reviewer at South Plains EMS. Most recently, Gerardo has taken on the role of Chief Quality Officer at Childress Regional Medical Center.

Gerardo Garcia completed their Bachelor's of Science in Healthcare Management from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where they studied from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Clarendon College-Pampa Center from 2003 to 2004, where they pursued Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) without completing a degree.
