Jose Cruz da Angela

Jose Cruz da Angela has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Jose began their career as a Fixed Income Researcher/Modeller at JPMorgan Chase from September 2006 to September 2009. Subsequently, they worked as an Operational Research Analyst at the UK Home Office from September 2009 to December 2010.

Later, Jose held multiple roles at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, including OR Analyst - Economics, Strategy and Better Regulation from January 2011 to April 2012, and Financial Modelling Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis from April 2012 to June 2013.

Jose then joined the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and served as the Head of Fraud and Error Evaluation from June 2013 to April 2015, and subsequently as the Head of Employment Programme Modelling from April 2015 to June 2016.

From June 2016 to December 2020, Jose worked at BGL Insurance, where they held various positions, including Head of Technical Pricing, Senior Manager from June 2016 to May 2017, Head of Life Pricing and Data from June 2016 to December 2020, and Associate Director - Life Pricing and Data from December 2020 to June 2022.

Jose then joined 4most as a Client Partner - Pricing and Analytics from June 2022 to February 2023, and is currently working as the Director of Analytics at Chill since February 2023.

Jose Cruz da Angela completed a BSc in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto from 1998 to 2002. Jose then pursued a PhD in Physics - Statistical Cosmology from Durham University, specializing in Astrophysics, from 2002 to 2006. Recently, in 2018, they completed a program called "The Leadership Experience" at Hult Ashridge.
