Renaldo A. Chapman is the current VP of Brand & Creative at Chime. Prior to this, they were the Global Head of Brand - Mobility (rides) + Masterbrand at Uber from June 2021 to October 2022. At Uber, Chapman's primary role was to lead global branding efforts across the US, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Renaldo sustained the business’ approach to brand development for all regions while guiding a cross-functional team to boost gross bookings. Additionally, they spearhead performance marketing initiatives and build the strategic narrative for Uber’s subscription services.

During their time at Uber, Chapman launched the 360 driver campaign, You Do That, featuring an Alan Watts voiceover that focused on revitalizing rider perception of driver culture at Uber; the campaign positioned Uber as a facilitator during Great Resignation and boosted earner growth. Renaldo also created an earned media calendar by orchestrating stunts during Halloween in the US and Brazil for Carnival involving themed car wraps from popular movie designs like Ghostbusters and Fast & Furious. In addition, Chapman spearhead Earth Day campaign activation with Tesla featuring immersive virtual rides to the Great Barrier Reef, Antarctica to show Uber’s commitment to being a zero-emission platform by 2030. Furthermore, they presided over brand identity overhaul on all key touch points - design elements, photography, tone, tagline creative; efforts aligned the globe to be consistent with local relevance. Renaldo A. Chapman has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Kenan-Flagler Business School and an MBA Exchange from IE Business School. Renaldo also has a B.A. and B.S. in Political Science/Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University.
