Em Ekong serves as the West Africa Regional Head at the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs since May 2022 and previously held the position of ANDE Associate. In addition, Em Ekong is an Advisory Board Member at the Center for Music Ecosystems, contributing to the organization's research and project development efforts. Em Ekong coordinates the Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa program at the China Europe International Business School since April 2013. As the Founding Director and Managing Director of Urban Inclusion Community, Em Ekong has led initiatives in community-based economic development since January 2006. Additionally, Em Ekong held the title of Marketing and Communications Director at UCLG Africa from 2016 to 2021. Prior experience includes a directorial role at THE AFRICAN AND CARIBBEAN BUSINESS EXPERIENCE LIMITED from June 2011 to March 2015. Em Ekong holds an MSc in Economic Development from The University of Manchester and a BA Hons in Economics and Finance from the University of Strathclyde.
