Pamela Cook

Pamela Cook has a varied work experience spanning several industries. Pamela most recently worked at the Chinese Community Center, first as an Employment Coach starting in July 2019, then as the Financial Opportunity Center Program Director from January 2022, and currently serves as the Director of Social Services since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Delivery Driver for Uber starting in August 2016.

Pamela also has experience as a Legal Assistant at Longo Legal from March 2017, and as a Disaster Recovery Manager at BakerRipley from November 2017 to March 2019. Additionally, they worked as a CCV Agent at Campus Living Villages from April 2017 to July 2017.

Pamela began their career at the Harris County Housing Authority in August 2012, where they served as a Housing Choice Voucher/Portability/Repayment Agreement Specialist until August 2016.

Before that, they worked as a Disaster Housing Case Manager at MFR, PC from August 2007 to August 2012, providing assistance to families affected by hurricanes Katrina/Rita and Ike. Pamela'searliest known job was at Verizon Wireless, where they worked as a Developmental Trainer/Senior Customer Service Specialist from June 1999 to August 2007.

Pamela Cook's education history begins with their studying at Houston Community College from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they pursued a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources. Following their completion at Houston Community College, Pamela went to the University of Houston-Downtown and studied there from 2012 to 2014. At the University, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business/Corporate Communications.
