Grace Mugumbate

Grace Mugumbate currently serves as an Assistant Professor and PVC for Research, Innovation, and Industrialization in Computer-aided Drug Discovery at Midlands State University since March 2021, while also holding the position of Associate Professor and Director of Research and Graduate Studies in Chemistry at Chinhoyi University of Technology since October 2017. Grace has extensive experience in scientific research, having worked at the European Bioinformatics Institute from April 2013 to October 2017 as a Scientific Training Officer, Data Curator, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow, focusing on anti-tuberculosis research. Previous roles include visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge and postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cape Town, emphasizing in silico methods for drug discovery. Grace's academic credentials include multiple degrees in Chemistry, culminating in a PhD from the University of Cape Town, complemented by postdoctoral work and research in various esteemed institutions.
