Avik is currently employed as a Research Scientist at Chinova Bioworks, a company dedicated to developing natural antimicrobial solutions. In addition, they hold the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of New Brunswick.
Prior to their current roles, Dr. Khan served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Dalhousie University, where they developed and offered graduate module courses focused on natural bioactive agents and biopolymers. Avik also co-founded EnCap BioTech Inc., a startup company focused on providing nature-inspired alternatives to petroleum-based synthetic polymers.
