Jaroslav Kralovec has extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the fields of food preservation, lipid-based pharmaceuticals, and molecular discovery. Jaroslav is currently serving as the Vice President of Research and Development at Chinova Bioworks, where they lead and manages the discovery and development of new food preservatives. Prior to this, they worked as the VP of R&D at DeckTherapeutics, focusing on the development of lipid-based pharmaceuticals for stroke management.
Before joining DeckTherapeutics, Kralovec founded and served as the CEO of Apollo Health Sciences. Jaroslav also held senior positions at DSM Nutritional Products Canada, where they were responsible for molecular discovery and applications, as well as lipid chemistry.
Earlier in their career, Kralovec worked as the Director of Chemistry at Ocean Nutrition Canada and as a Principal Research Investigator and Chief Chemist at MDS Pharma Inc. Jaroslav also served as a Senior Research Fellow at Dalhousie University.

Jaroslav Kralovec's education history is as follows:
- From 1974 to 1979, they attended the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (UCT Prague) and obtained a degree in M.Chem.Eng. with a specialization in Organic Technology.
- From 1980 to 1985, they pursued further studies at the Research Institute for Pharmacy and Biochemistry in Prague, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organic / Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
- In the period of 1986 to 1987, Jaroslav Kralovec pursued their postdoctoral studies at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Sciences, Department of Chemistry in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Jaroslav focused on Synthetic Chemistry during this time.
- Subsequently, from 1987 to 1988, they continued their postdoctoral studies at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Jaroslav'sresearch in this phase centered around Cancer Immunotherapeutics.
