Juan Fernando Vergez

Juan Fernando Vergez began their career as a Consultant at Palmtree Consulting in 2008, managing Balanced Scorecard and Activity Based Costing projects. Juan Fernando then moved to Avanxo, starting as an Account Manager in 2011 and later becoming a Sales Manager, driving cloud adoption in Colombia and Peru. In 2015, they joined Grability, Inc. as the Director of Strategy and Business Development before becoming the CEO in 2016 until 2021. Following this, they served as Chief Product & Technology Officer at Muncher Dark Kitchens from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Juan is working at Chiper, where they started in 2023 as Partner Enablement and is now the Director of Chiper Web Services. Additionally, they have been involved in roles such as Angel Investor, Business Mentor, and Advisor at different points in their career.

Juan Fernando Vergez obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Business Administration and Management from Universidad de Los Andes in 2007. In 2015, they completed the Commercial Director Program at PAD - Escuela de Dirección de la Universidad de Piura, specializing in Sales, Distribution, and Marketing Operations. Continuing their education, in 2023, Juan completed an Executive Education Certificate in VC Due Diligence from Columbia Business School. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Rescue Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver from PADI, obtained in 2018 and 2016, respectively.
