Celeste Spivey

Celeste Spivey has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Celeste started their career in 1989 as a Resident Director at Davenport University, where they recruited and trained Resident Assistants and coordinated various activities. Celeste then worked as a Vendor Relations Representative at Amway from 1993 to 1999, where they negotiated with vendors, documented trends, and assisted customers with order information.

From 1999 to 2006, Celeste held multiple roles at Amway Global, including Buyer and Sr. Forecasting/Planning Analyst. In these positions, they developed forecast rationales, evaluated new product proposals, and maintained inventory through systems applications.

In 2009, Celeste joined Amway again as a Change Management Associate and later became a Distribution Forecaster/Planner. Celeste assisted with change management strategies, integrated activities into project plans, and analyzed and purchased goods using inventory management systems.

In 2014, Celeste worked as an Agency Contract Management Representative at Farmers Insurance, processing requests and facilitating presentations on customer service and change management. From 2016 to 2021, they served as an Officer, Community Development Administrator at Mercantile Bank of Michigan, where they developed financial education curriculum, built partnerships, and ensured compliance with CRA requirements.

Currently, Celeste is the VP, Community Development/CRA Officer at ChoiceOne Bank, starting in June 2021.

Celeste Spivey holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Human Resources Development from Western Michigan University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Management from Davenport University, completing their studies from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications in Human Resources, including Diversity Recruiting, Understanding HR Systems Features and Benefits, and Strategic Human Resources, from LinkedIn in 2020.
