Garth Forrest has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Garth started their career as a Workshop Supervisor at AZTECH ENGINEERING LIMITED from May 2007 to September 2010. Garth then worked as a Store Manager at First Transit from September 2011 to August 2013, and later at Metroline Travel from August 2013 to August 2014.

Prior to that, Garth completed an Apprenticeship in light fabrication from Competenze - Skills for industry between 2001 and 2003. Garth attended Mountainview High School in Timaru, New Zealand, although the dates of their enrollment are not specified.
