Sukanya Maharathy

Sukanya Maharathy has extensive work experience in various roles within the telecommunications and media industry. Sukanya most recently worked as the Head of Product (New Access) at Chorus NZ Limited, where they were responsible for driving commercial and customer outcomes for key products, including New Property Development, IoT, and Hyperfibre. Prior to that, Sukanya held the role of Portfolio Manager, overseeing the management and strategy of products related to Property Development and IoT. Sukanya also served as a Segment Manager, responsible for the Network segment and driving the fiber network in New Zealand. Additionally, Sukanya worked as a Proposition Manager, delivering propositions and go-to-market initiatives for Core Network connectivity products and connectivity products targeted at Property Developers. Before joining Chorus NZ Limited, Sukanya worked at TVNZ as the Data and Insights Manager, where they led a team in delivering analyses, reporting, and modeling based on digital analytics and TV audience data. Sukanya was also responsible for formulating and implementing analyses as a Senior Insights Lead. Sukanya's early career included a role as a Media Research Analyst at MediaWorks NZ. Overall, Sukanya has a strong background in product management, strategy, market research, and data analysis.

Sukanya Maharathy has a solid education history. In 2005, they enrolled at Savitribai Phule Pune University and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, focusing on Finance. Following this, from 2009 to 2010, they attended The University of Auckland, completing a Graduate Diploma in Commerce with a specialization in Finance. Sukanya further pursued their education at The University of Auckland from 2015 to 2016, obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Business, with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
