David Acosta, MBA, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience in Human Resources, teaching, and customer service. David began their career in 2010 as a Service Advisor at Robbins Nissan, where they focused on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the maintenance of customers' vehicles. In 2014, they transitioned to Lone Star College as an Assistant Professor, teaching Automotive Technology classes to students. Later that year, they joined Christian Brothers Automotive as a Technician Recruiting and Setup Specialist, responsible for recruiting and setting up technicians. David then progressed within the company and held roles such as Human Resources Manager and Director of Human Resources. Currently, they serve as the Director of Human Resources and Staffing at Christian Brothers Automotive. David Acosta's work experience highlights their expertise in human resources, teaching, and customer service.
David Acosta obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Sam Houston State University, which they attended from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Automotive Technology Management from the University of Central Missouri, attending from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their degrees, David also holds certifications as a SHRM-CP (obtained in November 2017) and as an ASE Certified Automotive Technician and ASE Certified Service Advisor from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). David has also obtained the Unstoppable Cultures Certified Fellow certification from Unstoppable Cultures in 2021.
