Salette Martinez

Associate Director, Analytical Development (biophysics) at Chroma Medicine

Salette Martinez has a diverse work experience in the field of analytical development and research. Salette is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Chroma Medicine. Prior to this, they worked at Beam Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist, where they focused on biophysical analytical development. Salette also held positions at Vor Biopharma as a Scientist II and at Aura Biosciences as a Scientist, specializing in assay development. Earlier in their career, Salette worked at Neogen Corporation as a Manufacturability Support Chemist and at Michigan State University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Salette started their professional journey as a Graduate Research Assistant at Loyola University Chicago, where they conducted research on enzymes using molecular biology techniques.

Salette Martinez obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2009. Salette then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry at Loyola University Chicago from 2009 to 2014.
