Michael Smith

Michael Smith is the current Chief Claims Officer at Chubb since February 2018. Previously, Michael worked at AIG from 2006 to 2017, serving as Chief Transformation Officer, Chief Operating Officer - Commercial Insurance, President - Global Financial Lines, President - US Financial Lines, and President - Financial Lines Claims. Smith led various teams and business units, overseeing strategy, operations, and global distribution agreements. Michael also played a role on AIG's Retirement Board. Smith holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting from the University of West Florida - College of Business.
