Timothy Young has a diverse work experience in the arts and museum sector. Timothy started as a Grants & Sponsorship Intern at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis in 2011. Timothy then worked as a Visitor Services Associate and later as a Lead Visitor Services Associate at the same museum.
In 2014, Timothy served as a Curatorial Graduate Research Assistant at Laumeier Sculpture Park, where they engaged audiences and conducted research. Timothy continued their involvement with Laumeier Sculpture Park by installing exhibitions as a Freelance Exhibits Preparator from 2011 to 2016.
Timothy also worked at the Uppsala Museum of Medical History as a Museum Intern, where they provided exhibit interpretation and assisted with photography and gallery guide creation. Timothy gained preservation experience as a Historic Preservation Intern at Faust Park Historic Village.
During their time with White Flag Projects, Timothy served as an Exhibitions Manager, where they communicated with artists and managed art installations.
From 2016 to 2018, Timothy worked as a Project Manager at U.S.Art Company, Inc., planning and executing complex art handling projects and managing art inventory.
Most recently, Timothy held multiple roles at CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center), starting as a Community Associate in 2018 and progressing to become a Community Specialist, Community Leader, and ultimately a Site Lead.
Timothy Young has a diverse education history. Timothy completed a Post-Master's Certificate in Mediation & Conflict Resolution at Washington University in St. Louis in 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in History with a Concentration in Museum Studies, along with a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis from 2014 to 2016. In 2009, Timothy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language & Literature, along with a Certificate in Creative Writing, from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
