Dhanya Panickar

Dhanya Panickar has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Dhanya started their career as a Research Fellow at NIIST in Trivandrum, India, where they worked from March 2000 to September 2005. After that, they joined The University of Iowa as a Postdoctoral Associate from September 2005 to January 2008. Dhanya then moved to the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where they held various roles including Postdoctoral Associate (February 2008 to September 2012), Research Scientist (October 2012 to November 2017), and Staff Scientist (December 2017 to February 2021). Currently, Dhanya is working at Cidara Therapeutics, where they have been a Senior Scientist since February 2021 and has recently been promoted to the role of Senior Scientist II in January 2023.

Dhanya Panickar pursued their education in the field of organic chemistry. Dhanya obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Organic Chemistry from the School of Chemical Sciences at Mahatma Gandhi University. This educational journey took place from 1997 to 2000. Dhanya furthered their academic pursuits and enrolled at the University of Kerala, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organic Synthesis. This doctoral program lasted from 2000 to 2006.
