James E. Moylan

James E. Moylan is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Ciena. James has over 20 years of experience in executive leadership positions. Prior to joining Ciena, they were the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Swett & Crawford from 2006 to 2007. James was responsible for leading the construction of the operational infrastructure, developing a governance practice, as well as designing and implementing operational reviews and reporting process. Additionally, they were responsible for the preparations for the IPO and was a key leader in several acquisitions, driving deals to completion.

From 2004 to 2006, Moylan served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at PRG-Schultz International, Inc. In partnership with the CEO/Founder, they led a turnaround of the company from a significant loss to a breakeven balance sheet in under two years. In conjunction with the leadership team and the board, they successfully implemented a restructuring plan to remove $42 million in annual expenses.

Moylan began their career at Georgia-Pacific Corporation where they served as the Executive Vice President, Composite Panels, Distribution and Administration from 2002 to 2003. James then served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at SCI Systems, Inc. from 1999 to 2002.

James E. Moylan earned a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Harvard Business School. James also earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
