Eugene Chepurniy

Eugene Chepurniy has a significant amount of experience in the field of DevOps engineering and system administration. Eugene has worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Zerto since 2024. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Team Lead at Ciklum starting in 2015.

Between 2017 and 2024, Eugene worked at insightsoftware as a DevOps Team Lead / DevOps Tech Lead, where they supervised DevOps-related activities for multiple products and managed a DevOps team in an Agile-based development environment.

From 2015 to 2017, Eugene worked at Zoomdata as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they focused on the development of a Micro Service Architecture and the integration of modern technologies into the architecture.

Before that, Eugene worked as an IT Administrator / DevOps Engineer at LevelUp games from 2013 to 2015 and as a Senior System Administrator at Open Media Group from 2010 to 2013. Eugene was responsible for various tasks such as high load/high availability in a web environment, backup planning/maintenance, VoIP integration/support, and PHP scripting.

Prior to that, Eugene held positions as CIO at Garant Assistance from 2009 to 2010, deputy CIO at SCOPC Max-Well from 2007 to 2009, and Senior System Administrator at ТОВ "Мир Связи" from 2003 to 2007. Eugene started their career as a PC basics Teacher running their own business from 1999 to 2003.

Eugene Chepurniy obtained a Specialist degree in Computer Systems and Networks from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' from 1998 to 2004. In 2009, they also obtained a Cisco CCNA certification. In 2013, they attended a program called Fastlane to gain knowledge in ITIL Foundation, although they did not receive a degree.
