Ignacio Méndez Gómez Humarán has extensive experience in statistical research and consultancy, currently serving as Técnico Titular C at Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas A. C. since April 2009. Previously, Ignacio held the position of Investigador/Asesor Estadístico at Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública from January 2008 to December 2019 and served as Director General de Investigación Pesquera en el Pacífico Sur at Instituto Nacional de Pesca (INAPESCA) from April 2001 to January 2008. Additional roles include Director de Estadística and Investigador Titular "A" at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte A. C. from September 1996 to August 2000, and Bioestadístico at Programa Nacional de Aprovechamiento del Atún y de Protección de Delfines-FIDEMAR from February 1995 to December 1998. Ignacio's academic background includes a summer course in Applied Mathematics at Cornell University and a Master's degree in Coastal Oceanography from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. Ongoing doctoral studies in Applied Statistics are being pursued at Colegio de Postgraduados.
