Saniye Yumlu has a wealth of experience in the field of gene editing. Saniye began their career in 2014 as a Scientist at the Max Delbrück Center. In 2018, they moved to Evotec as a Research Scientist. Currently, they are an Associate Director Gene Editing at Cimeio Therapeutics, a position they have held since 2022.
Saniye Yumlu began their education in 2000 when they enrolled in the Technische Universität Berlin to pursue a degree in Medical Biotechnology. Saniye received their Dipl.Ing. in 2006. In 2007, they began working as a Student Researcher at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. From 2009 to 2014, they attended the Max-Planck-Institut für Molekulare Genetik, where they earned their Dr.-Ing. (Doctor of Engineering) in Molecular Genetics. In 2004, they also completed a Diploma Thesis at the Robert-Koch-Institut.
