Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in the Colombo office as we grow our software engineering function in Colombo. You will be responsible for building C# applications, including anything from back-end services to their client end counterparts.  Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest  of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem  solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of development and integrations created
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems. ▪
• Help maintain code quality, organisation and automation.
• Collaborate to generate ideas with team members and offering insightful solutions
• Gather customer software requirements and develop related software applications and programs
• Create software documentation and update existing documentation
• Assist and support other team members on multiple projects
• Assist in implementing best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery  methodologies.
• Write application code meeting defined requirements and adhering to documented design and perform unit  and unit integration testing on that code

What you'll bring with you:

• Tertiary qualification and at least five years relevant experience
• Excellent .NET development using C#, SQL, JavaScript, JQuery, React, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web  Programming Skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and different geographies.
• Strong Object Oriented Design pattern experience with understanding and experience working with SOLID
• A passion for solving problems and making a difference for our global customers
• Cloud development experience, particularly on Azure
