Cintal Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Chennai is looking for "Quality checker” Candidate for Chennai Location _Work from office Role.

Job Description

• Perform Modelling & Detailing in Solidworks and product data management using Teamcenter & Vismockup

• Knowledge in ASME Y14.5 & Standards

• Capable to perform Form, Fit & Function study using the assemblies to support engineering value chain activities.

• Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing(GD&T), engineering drawings, manufacturing processes and Machine Bill of Material (BOM)

• Mentor and train team members in engineering drawing, GD&T, and tolerance stack analysis skills.

• Check and approve tolerance stack analyses for technical correctness.

• ​Ensure quality check is done & ensure the engineering drawing readiness for checking / releasing.

• Check and approve engineering drawings for technical completeness, clarity, conformance with standards, dimensional accuracy, and material/process specifications.

• Address all customer issues promptly and propose process / product improvements.

• Perform engineering analysis on machine parts to understand production process.

• Good knowledge of casting/machined/fabricated components and manufacturing process

• Strong conceptual thinking and design engineering.

• Responsible to understand the project requirements and Develop/ Implement cycle time reduction & quality improvement ideas in the project being handled.

• Participate in project initiation meetings, understand the scope, and share estimation on project completion date.

• Demonstrate very good communication and presentation skills, being able to explain conclusions to customers who have limited knowledge and time.

• Exhibit strong initiative and teamwork skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar products and services, its internal systems, processes, and procedures.

• Manage day-to-day operational aspect of all project timelines, scope and ensure timely delivery of projects with expected quality level.

• Responsible to work with engineering suppliers/contractors to get the work done with expected quality and velocity.

• Handle mass data analysis, data processing, data visualization and Advanced Excel Usage

• Ability to communicate designs and related information in collaboration discussions.

• Develop and maintain good working relationship within the team and other teams.

Basic Qualifications

• A full-time bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering College or University (Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production)

• Around 7 to 9 years relevant work experience in similar areas and have demonstrated ability to work independently.

• Strong Analytical & Project Management skills

• Communicate effectively with others in the work group, cross functional team members and customers.

• Need to be self-motivated and team player.

• Minimum 3-5 Years of relevant experience in Engineering Design, Solidworks Part Modelling, Assembly and Detailing

• Exposure to PLM tools applications and operations

• Excellent ability to communicate technical details effectively.

• Maintain a positive work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to achieving long-term business objectives.

Additional weightage for Top Candidates :

• Proficient in working with Heavy Structures, Actuators, ASME standards.

• Prior experience in Caterpillar Standards and processes

• Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers from different geographical locations.

• Exposure to production and operations

• Exposure to Drawing quality checking
