Sarah Corney (CCXP) has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sarah started their career at Pavilion Publishing in 1996 as a Production Coordinator, where they quickly advanced in roles and applied their knowledge in emerging digital typesetting, design, and print technologies to save time and reduce costs for the company.

In 1999, Sarah joined John Wiley and Sons, working in various roles such as Senior Production Editor, Production Manager, XML Development Manager, and Project Manager/Business Analyst. Sarah managed production teams, delivered optimization projects, and initiated a scalable XML-first solution to improve the quality, consistency, and discoverability of Wiley's digital content.

Since 2013, Sarah has been with CIPD, where they have held multiple leadership roles. As the Head of Digital Experience, they improved customer journeys and embedded user-centered design principles into the development of new digital products and services. In their role as Head of Customer Experience, they led the design and delivery of market research to inform strategic decisions. As the Head of Digital Production, they modernized CIPD's websites, online learning, and assessment platforms, introducing user-centered approaches. And as the Content Technology and Delivery Manager, they transitioned the Library and Information Systems team to the Web Content Management team, implementing a content strategy to support member engagement.

Throughout their career, Sarah has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills, working on both Agile and waterfall tech projects. Sarah has led cross-functional, global project teams, delivering projects within budget and on time. Sarah's work experience reflects their expertise in digital content management, user experience design, and leading customer-centric initiatives.

Sarah Corney (CCXP) has a diverse education history that spans several decades. In 1991, they attended the University of Warwick and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English and American Literature, graduating with a 2:1 classification in 1994. Sarah then pursued further education at the University of Sussex, where they achieved a Master of Arts degree in Twentieth Century Literature from 1994 to 1995.

In recent years, Sarah has focused on acquiring certifications relevant to their professional field. In 2019, they attended the Design Thinkers Academy London and completed a Design Thinkers Bootcamp, as well as a program in Design Thinking Facilitation. Continuing their commitment to professional development, Sarah obtained the Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) credential from the Customer Experience Professionals Association (CXPA) in July 2020.

Alongside their formal education, Sarah has also sought additional certifications to enhance their skillset.
