Juan Cruz Perusia has extensive work experience in the field of education policy and statistics. Juan Cruz is currently working as a Principal Researcher at CIPPEC since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior consultant on education policies and statistics in 2020.
From 2019 to 2020, they were the Chief of Section, Data Analysis and Outreach at UNESCO Institute for Statistics. Juan Cruz also served as a Regional Advisor, Latin America and the Caribbean in UNESCO, supporting Member States to improve education statistics quality, from 2010 to 2019. Before that, they worked as an Assistant Programme Specialist in Education Statistics from 2005 to 2010.
Juan also has experience working at Inter American Development Bank as a Consultant in the Research Department in 2004. Juan Cruz worked as an Associate Researcher at Centro de Investigación para la Equidad y la Calidad Educativa from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant at Ministerio de Educación de la Nación from 2000 to 2002.
Juan Cruz Perusia obtained their Licenciatura en Economía degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba between 1993 and 1997. Juan Cruz later pursued a Master in Economics at Universidad del CEMA from 1999 to 2000.
